Past donations to Our Task have allowed us to build our internship program (12 college and high school interns in 2011), to complete our seminal Youth Earth Plan and Youth Earth Vision, to have hosted three conferences (culture-shaping organizations, 2008), “Inter-Generational Dialogues: Our Earth, Our Future” (2010), and “Finding the Global in Me: Making an Impact” (2011).  In addition, OT has increased its presentations at schools, religious institutions, and other organizations.

Our Task has expanded its voice for young adults with its own TV News Commentary program, “News for Our Future“.  We have video gear and a broadcast quality HD camera and are teaching young people video production focused on sustainability issues.  We are developing a collaborative with colleges, universities, and high schools.

On-going investment opportunities: Full-time executive director, Maria Takahashi, on-line communications, year-long student internship programs, and other expenses: $75,000/year.

Special funding opportunity: Video editing computer ($1,350) and Final Cut Pro editing software ($1,200 for a total of $2,550.   One generous contributor has already covered the cost of the computer.
