Climate Expert James E. Hanson has retired from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at age 72. As a government employee, he was prohibited from participating in legal actions against the government. He plans to be very active in his remaining years, however.
Hanson told the New York Times: "If we burn even a substantial fraction of the fossil fuels, we guarantee there's going to be unstoppable changes in the climate of the earth. We're going to leave a situation for young people and future generations that they may have no way to deal with."
If you are a young person, how do you feel about your parents' and grandparents' generations leaving you with an out-of-control climate? Are there moral issues here that are not being discussed?
