On-going investment opportunities:
- Fund an intern. While OT does not charge for its Global Leadership Internships, the actual cost is approximately $2,000 per intern, including the Internship Director ($15/hour), rent ($500/mo), supplies, field trips, and local transportation. Providing an “intern scholarship” of some amount–from $25 up to $2000 –would help to defray the costs of the internship program.
- Support the Earth-2100 Conference. We will need to cover the costs of the venue, research key organizations to involve, and support the participation of young adults. Conference patrons: $1000 or more. Supporters: $500 or more, Contributors: $25 or more.
- Fund a meetup. Evening meetups are are important in attracting new people interested in the Earth-2100 Conference and in the OT internships. Meetups cost range from $100 to $150, and we need dozens of them.
- Buy us a MacBook Pro for video editing. The is a lot of video editing involved in producing an episode of “News for Our Future” and in teaching video production to our intern. We have one MacBook Pro, and need a second one. The 15″ 2.4 GHz model costs $2,200.
